Yamaha launches the 2025 FZ-S Fi Hybrid in India at ₹1,44,800, featuring Smart Motor Generator tech, a TFT display, and enhanced fuel efficiency. With advanced connectivity and a refined design, it offers a smarter, smoother ride.

The wait is over for the bike lovers. The launch of the 2025 FZ-S Fi Hybrid is officially made by Yamaha in India at ₹1,44,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new version comes with several upgrades over the FZS FI V4, including a better engine, refined design, and new tech features. The hybrid model costs ₹14,000 more than the Deluxe variant of the FZS FI V4.

Improved Performance and Economy

Now, let's talk about the features. The new FZ-S Fi Hybrid has Smart Motor Generator (SMG) technology. It offers battery-assisted acceleration for improved response and quieter engine starts.

Yamaha also included a Stop & Start System (SSS) that can automatically turn the engine off at idling and re-start immediately with a clutch movement. It saves fuel and smoothens riding in the city, particularly under heavy traffic.

Advanced Display and Smart Connectivity

The 2025 FZ-S Fi Hybrid comes with a 4.2-inch full-color TFT display that connects seamlessly with Yamaha’s Y-Connect app.

With this system, riders can enjoy smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation via Google Maps, music controls, geo-fencing, and last-parked location tracking. Real-time directions, intersection details, and road names are now easily accessible, making every ride more convenient and hassle-free.

Engine Performance and Emission Compliance

The FZ-S Fi Hybrid gets its power from a 149cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that generates 12.4 hp and 13.3 Nm of torque. It uses a 5-speed gearbox and now comes with the updated OBD2B emission norms to help it remain compliant with even stricter regulations.

Despite having the hybrid technology, the bike weighs only 138kg and is only slightly heavier than the standard FZ-S V4 and still possesses the same agility and handling.

Comfortable Design with Practical Upgrades

Yamaha has introduced a number of modifications to improve comfort and usability for the FZ-S Fi Hybrid. For instance, the position of the handlebar is slightly adjusted for long journeys. The focus is on making the journey stress-free and easy for the rider.

The switchgear has been relocated for greater accessibility, even when gloves are being worn. The fuel tank also now features an airplane-style hinged cap, ensuring that refueling becomes faster and more convenient.

Fresh New Color Options

The FZ-S Fi Hybrid is now available in two striking colors – Racing Blue and Cyan Metallic Grey- providing the bike with a bold and modern look.

Yamaha’s Vision for the FZ Series

At the launch event, Itaru Otani, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group, spoke about the importance of the FZ series in Yamaha’s Hybrid journey in India. He highlighted how bringing hybrid technology to this segment enhances both performance and fuel efficiency.

Otani reiterated Yamaha's dedication to innovation, assuring that each iteration in the FZ line is driven by customer input to deliver a smoother, more dynamic, and interactive riding experience.

In the 2025 FZ-S Fi Hybrid, Yamaha keeps advancing the technology of motorcycles with a combination of power, efficiency, and intelligent connectivity, presenting riders with a balance of it all.
