Royal Enfield successfully concluded the first edition of the Slide School Cup at its newly launched flat-track racing circuit in Jaipur. Spanning three months, this thrilling event brought together over a hundred participants from across Goa, Bengaluru, Pune, and Jaipur, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s commitment to flat-track racing.
What is the Royal Enfield Slide School Cup?
Flat-track racing is one of the oldest and most intense forms of motorcycle racing, originating from the United States. For those unfamiliar, the Royal Enfield Slide School was first introduced in India during Rider Mania 2019 and has since expanded globally, making its mark in the US, UK, Thailand, and several European countries.
The Slide School Cup is a competitive extension of the existing Slide School program, designed to provide students with an opportunity to test their skills in a real championship setting. The inaugural edition kicked off at Motoverse 2024, where riders competed on the purpose-built FT411 flat-track motorcycle.
Tight Competition in the Championship
After an intense season, the championship ended in a nail-biting tie, with Anish Shetty and Sathya Raj Arumugam both scoring 39 points. However, Shetty was crowned champion, securing victory in the crucial third race of the final round. Sathya Raj Arumugam claimed the runner-up spot, while Karan Drishya finished third with 29 points.
