The first spy shots of the Renault Kiger facelift have surfaced, offering a glimpse of the changes in store for the popular compact SUV. This mid-cycle update is expected to bring more noticeable upgrades compared to the recently introduced MY2025 Kiger, which primarily saw revisions in equipment and variant offerings. Renault India is likely to announce prices for the facelift later this year.

Exterior Updates – Subtle Yet Fresh

Though the test mule is heavily camouflaged, key design elements remain visible. The overall profile stays the same, with no major sheet metal changes. Even the alloy wheels appear similar in design and size to the current model.

Key expected updates include:

Refreshed front and rear bumpers

New Renault logo

Split headlamp design retained

C-shaped LED tail-lights unchanged

While the Kiger’s shape remains familiar, the facelift will likely refine its looks with minor tweaks to enhance its appeal.

Interior Upgrades – More Premium Feel

Like its sibling, the Nissan Magnite, the updated Kiger is expected to receive subtle cabin enhancements. Changes could include:

Refreshed dashboard design

More soft-touch materials

New seat upholstery and door trim

Expanded features list

Renault could also introduce new tech features to keep the Kiger competitive in the segment.

Engine & Gearbox – No Mechanical Changes

The facelifted Kiger will continue with its current engine lineup:

  • 1.0L Naturally Aspirated Petrol – 72hp, paired with a 5-speed manual or AMT
  • 1.0L Turbo-Petrol – 100hp, available with a 5-speed manual or CVT

Since no mechanical changes are expected, the driving experience should remain the same.

Expected Pricing – Slight Increase on the Cards

The current Renault Kiger is priced between 6.10 lakh and 11.25 lakh (ex-showroom, India), with dual-tone variants costing 25,000 extra. Given the pricing trend seen with the Nissan Magnite facelift, the Kiger facelift could be priced between 6.5 lakh and 11.5 lakh.

Launch Timeline

Renault is expected to reveal full details of the Kiger facelift in the coming months, with a price announcement likely before the end of the year. Stay tuned for more updates!
